How to Make the Best Mexican Brownies

Ingredients 1 package fudge brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size) 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground ancho chile pepper

3/4 cup dark chocolate chips additional ingredients: 2 large eggs, room temperature 1/2 cup canola oil 1/4 cup water

Directions Mix the spices and brownie mix together. Pour contents into a one-quart glass jar. Add chocolate chips on top. For up to three months, cover and keep in a cold, dry location.

Before making brownies, heat the oven to 350°. Blend eggs, water, and oil until well combined. Add brownie mix and chocolate chips gradually, stirring thoroughly. Line a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with oil.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (avoid overbaking). Allow the pan to cool fully on a wire rack.
