Dolphins should thank Bills for Week 16 advantage

The Miami Dolphins face their hardest game of the season in Week 16.  Despite the jokes, the Cowboys are a top club with an MVP candidate at quarterback.

The Dolphins will be challenged, especially because both teams have comparable strengths and limitations.

One thing will favor the Dolphins entering the contest. A rival just published a book on how to defeat the Cowboys convincingly. The Bills won 31-10 over the Cowboys, one of their best wins of the season.

This win's biggest surprise? Josh Allen completed 7/15 passes for 94 yards and a score. Buffalo excelled on the ground. James Cook led the team with 179 yards on 25 carries, and the rest added 87 yards.

The Cowboys couldn't shut down the running threat, and their error of lining up with six men in the box gave Buffalo chances to run while ahead.

Dolphins will note. The Dolphins have saved De'Von Achane for this time, and Raheem Mostert is enjoying a stronger season than Cook.

If the Dolphins can get their run game going like they did in some of their early games, Achane and Mostert could both go over 100 yards and keep Dak Prescott and the deadly Cowboys offense off the field.

The Dolphins run the ball better than anybody in the NFL yet may be without their top wide out. If the game proceeds like last night, the Dolphins should win convincingly.
