Cajun Shrimp Skillet

Ingredients 3 tablespoons butter 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 cup amber beer or beef broth 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano 1 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined Hot cooked grits, optional

Directions Melt butter in a large cast-iron pan or other heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry for one minute. Bring to a boil after adding the beer, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.  

Add the shrimp and simmer, turning regularly, for 3–4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink. Serve over grits, if preferred.
