Rockingham County Extension April workshops

    An April series of workshops at The Gardens at New Creation at the Meeting House, 80 Route 125, Kingston will give gardeners helpful insights and information. April 8th - Saturday, 9:00-11:00 “Feed your soil, not your plants ” This workshop will focus on working with nature by first understanding your soil and how to improve it for gardening. 

  Our speaker is Patty Laughlin, manager and head gardener at Lorax Landscaping. Patty has been practicing ecological landscaping since 1994.  She is a New Hampshire Certified Landscape Professional (NHCLP), is an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional (AOLCP), has a certificate in Permaculture Design, is a New Hampshire Natural Resources Steward, is a Certified Wildlife Landscaping Professional and holds a degree in Horticulture, with a concentration in Landscape Operations, from the University of New Hampshire Thompson School of Applied Science where she is now occasionally an Adjunct Professor.  She also is the Rockingham County Extension expert/consultant on soils and planting/landscaping.
   This workshop will also include information about pollinators and beneficial insects, as well as how to understand your soil with a UNH soil analysis. 

   Coming workshops will include:

April 15th - “Perennials Our Garden Delights” and “Herbs for Beauty and Health”

April 29th - Sensory & Butterfly Gardens and we will have a presentation to aid those who have limited space for gardening on their porches and back yards.
