Raymonds’ March 2011 Farmers Market a Huge Success
Despite the cloudy drizzly weather Saturday March 5th, many people came to the market from our neighboring towns of Epping, Fremont, Brentwood and Nottingham. Just as many came from as far away as Atkinson, Danville, Newton, E. Hampstead and Kingston and we are very happy that you did.
It was obvious that the Waffle-on-a-stick was a hit with the children and Klemm’s Bakery had lots of sweet pastries for the adults to take home. Moriarty’s Greenhouse brought a great selection of healthy herb plants to show us that spring gardening is just a few weeks away; the Folsom Farm has wool in a wide variety of neutral colors but also has some wool in a vibrant purple yarn for those prefering bright colored items; and Blueberry Hill Alternatives for Life had a great selection of herbal and medicinal items.
Kellie Brook Farm served fabulous pulled pork sandwiches and Anderson’s Mini-Maples handed out maple syrup samples and lots of Caroline’s Homemade pies were carried out as well. One Raymond resident made six trips back and forth to her car with arms full of purchases of eggs from Harrison’s Poultry Farm, meats from Phoenix Hill Farm, vegetables from Heron Pond Farm and apples from Merrill Farm. One more thing, Northwood Natural’s Honey Smackers Lip Balm definitely works great at preventing chapped lips. Local guitarist singer Mike O’Donnell provided entertainment for the morning and Miss Raymond Valerie Dancewicz provided the afternoon musical entertainment.
