They want Bigger Music Room, Library, and a Fullsize Gymnasium at HCS
Submitted By Kyle Plummer 2-15-21

My name is Kyle Plummer. My wife Susie and I moved here about 5 years ago. We were living overseas, and I received a job offer back in MA, so Susie was looking for towns in NH that had great school systems. Hampstead was tops on our list.

We have 4 awesome kids that are happy to call Hampstead their hometown. Lucy is in 6th Grade, Maxton is in 4th, Philippa is in 2nd, and Stella is in Kindergarten.

We were lucky enough to find a great house in this community. After moving in, we were able to meet with Principal Collins, who offered advice for the best way to put our oldest two into school as it was already more than 1/2 way through the year. Within a few weeks, after moving in and getting them acclimated to the school system, the process was smooth, and the teachers and faculty were top notch at welcoming them as part of the student body. Susie and I felt great and it was a breath of fresh air.

Since becoming residents, we have been strong advocates of improving the school for our kids and the community. The teachers and faculty have been amazing to all 4 of our children. Though we have noticed the changes of smaller classrooms, smaller library and how quickly the preschool heats up on hot days when we are invited in for special activities. We have 3 that are currently in the Central School. Our Oldest has moved to the Middle School.

When I ask each of our kids what would they like to see improved or changed at the Central School, here are their answers:

1.) Have a bigger Music Room with Ms. Stark
2.) Larger library so we can go in and read
3.) Our classroom is pretty small so I would like to have more space with my friends
4.) A full gymnasium to play in PE.

The Plummer family is looking forward to March 9th and voting yes on Articles 2 and 4 to help grow our school for our kids and our growing community.

Thank You,
Kyle Plummer, Hampstead Resident
