The NHIAA Division 2 State Meet on Sunday, February 5th began with the presentation of New Hampshire's All State awards to 13 girls, including Junior Anna Harmon of Raymond.
Later, Anna earned the 2d place medal in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:56.26, which broke the RHS record she set earlier in the season.

At UNH on Sunday, seniors Jacob Riley, Cache Furmanick, and Garrity Sargent, and junior Gavin Call nearly equaled their prior best in the 4x800 with a time of 9:39.74, but unfortunately came up just short of qualifying for the State Meet. These young gentlemen will be missed!
4 x 800 meter team
Also on Sunday, by a margin of just 1/10 of a second, junior Anna Harmon broke the 600m school record she set just 2 weeks before. Anna will compete next at the State Meet scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday, February 5th at Dartmouth. She is entered in the 1000m with the #1 seed, and in the 1500m with the #3 seed.
At UNH on Sunday, January 22, 2017, Raymond High School seniors Jacob Riley, Cache Furmanick, and Garrity Sargent, and junior Gavin Call combined for a 4x400m relay time of 4:11.84, which is the team's best of the season.
Anna Harmon running the 1500-meter
In the girls 1500-meters, Anna Harmon ran a time of 4:48.54, breaking by 9
seconds the school record she set last year. Her effort was all the more
interesting because of the odd circumstance of her being the only entry in
that particular event after other entries had scratched. She set the new
record running the event alone.
The same runners will compete in one more meet at UNH this weekend, with the
state Meet scheduled for Sunday, February 5th at Dartmouth.
