Hospice Needs Caring People Willing to Give Time - 3 - 13-15

Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire, Inc. will offer a training course for those interested in becoming a Hospice Volunteer.  The eight training sessions will begin on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm, and continue every Tuesday evening through June 23, 2015 at VNA 1070 Holt Ave, Manchester, NH.

Hospice Volunteers play an indispensable role with patients with life-threatening illnesses, providing companionship, support, errands, and respite for families.  Volunteers become part of a team effort, which includes physicians, nurses, social workers, clergy and other professionals.

Interested individuals, who embrace the caring philosophy when assisting people with life-threatening illness, are encouraged to explore Hospice Volunteering.

The training course is offered at no cost to participants.  Pre-registration is required. Class size is limited. Please contact Susan Jutras, Volunteer Coordinator (603)663-4008 or e-mail sjutras@elliot-hs.org for an application.
