NEPSAC was founded in 1942 as an organization of athletic directors from preparatory schools in New England. It has 155 member schools. NEPSAC sanctions elite New England championship events in many sports and provides guidance in a variety of issues involving interscholastic athletics.

Founded in 1876, Vermont Academy is a small coed college preparatory boarding and day school located in Saxtons River, Vermont, serving grades 9-12 plus a postgraduate year. Vermont Academy provides a challenging education, and its small size allows it to provide exceptional individual attention that fosters a love of learning.
