Craig L. Wheeler to Retire from Town of Raymond
Press Release  2-16-18

Following a long career in the public service industry, the Town Manager for the Town of Raymond, Craig L.  Wheeler is announcing his retirement set for June 15, 2018.

Craig was hired for the position of Town Planner for Raymond from 2003 to 2005.  He then moved on to other public service positions before returning to Raymond in August 2011 when he was hired as the Town Manager.   Craig not only has years of outstanding service to the Raymond community, which also includes President of the Raymond Area Rotary in 2016, he has provided valuable counsel to the Board and his colleagues over his 6 plus year tenure. We want to thank Craig publicly for his service and dedication to serving our municipality.

Those of us who know Craig personally admire his business efforts but also his personal lifetime values as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Together with his wife Donna, they both have dedicated many hours of community service and acts of kindness to make Raymond a better place for everyone. He looks forward to spending more time with his wife Donna, his two sons Ben and Colin and his 5 grandchildren and of course “Waldo the Turkey”. He also looks forward spending time at his camp, extensive fishing, hunting as well as spending time tapping trees to make his famous maple syrup.

On behalf of the Board of Selectmen and all Town staff, we are confident that the community will continue to benefit from his leadership.
