A huge Christmas surprise donation came early to the New Life Church Food Pantry on Monday, Dec. 5. The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 90 presented New Life Church Pastor Ken Bosse and Food Pantry Coordinators Dotty Deslauriers and Lorraine Plant and food pantry volunteers Rebecca Bailey and Adana Mastrofine with a $1,000 check. The funds were collected during the annual softball team grudge match between the American Legion and Supreme House of Pizza that was held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Cammett Fields.

This past week alone they provided food for 10 new families who needed food because they just could not make ends meet. She said the donations were extremely appreciated and help the food pantry so much.

Malotte said the next softball grudge match game is scheduled for September 2017. He also said that he wants to extend a huge Thank You to everyone who participated in these softball fund raising events.
