Raymond High School Alumni Association 2016 Golf Outing Nets Over $10,000

The 14th annual RHS Alumni Association golf outing was held June 21 at Candia Woods.  The winning team with a gross of 57 was awarded to Patrick O’Grady, Ryan Johnson, Dan Johnson and David Anzalone.  First net with a 59 was the team of Barry Dunphy, Sumner Dodge, Roger Paradis and Bill Weaver.  Second net with a 60 was the team of Jason Larochelle, Matt Larochelle, Paul Coates, and Mike Cyr.  Third net also at 60 went to the team of Gary Graham, Dustin Ramey, Mark Hassenpflug, and Michael Wynne (with tie breaker on Hole #4).

The winning all ladies team with a gross of 67 went to Denise Johnson, Sue Vaillancourt, Karen Turcotte, and Jan Wheelock.

Low net for the all ladies team with 65 went to Vicki Parady-Guay, Beverly Barney, Geneva Clifford, Phyllis Harmon, and Sally Paradis. 

Special prizes were awarded:   Longest Drive on Hole #10 for Senior Men to Bill Weaver and Longest Drive for Men under 75 to Ryan Johnson.  Longest Drive on Hole #10 for Senior Ladies to Sandra Weaver and Longest Drive for Ladies under 75 to Janet Travis.  Nearest to Pin on Hole #8 to Arthur Duford and Nearest to Pin on Hole #15 to Jack Ornell.    Putting Contest winner was Bill Weaver.

The event’s Platinum Donor was I. C. Reed & Sons, Inc.  The event’s Gold Donors were John (Jack) Ornell, RHS Class of 1975 and Walmart Distribution Center of Raymond.  Silver Donors were Seacoast United Sports, Inc.  and McDonald’s of Raymond. Bronze Donor sponsorships were shared by American Legion Post 90, G & P Pizzeria Restaurant and Lounge, and Lawrence (Larry) Ornell, RHS Class of 1975.

Morning coffee and doughnuts were served during golfers’ registration for the 14th consecutive year, compliments of Dunkin Donuts of Raymond! Lovering Volvo offered a new Volvo to anyone aceing the 15th hole, regretfully, however, this challenge was not met.
Sponsorships were received from The Bailey Family, Ingalls Family, Mandile Family, Quintal Family Waterhouse Family, Welch Family, Class of 1957, Class of 1966, Girls in Class of 1970, also Dot, Kathy, Sharon and Jocelyn Callaghan,

Memorial sponsorships were received for Deceased Members in Classes of 1965, and 1970 also Deceased members of Quintal family, Deceased RHS Alumni from Deerfield.  Also, Bernice McFarland Perkins ’50, Thomas J. Robinson ’50, Carl LaCouture, Joanne Rock Welch, ’62, Frank Langford ’62, Bruce Clark ’64, Scott Griffin ’82, John J .Callaghan, the Cote Twins, Leo Plante, Irene and Don Smith, Jean and John Fernald, Ed and Jean Moulton, Sylvia Saunders,  Emile Quintal, Annette Quintal, Roland Wallace, Hazel J. Bailey, Gordon and Helen (Greenwood) Cammett and their daughters Kathy and Susie.  Also, in  Thanksgiving for the lives of Edward and Charlena Thompson.

The big winner of the day was the RHS Alumni Scholarship Fund that realized over $10,000 from the event.

The Association is proud to announce that since 2000, $108,000 has been awarded to RHS seniors by the Association through the proceeds of the annual golf outing.  The Association extends its thanks and appreciation to ALL those who contributed to the success of the outing this year in any way—you are all on a winning team!
