Raymond High School Alumni Association Golf Outing Nets Over $10,000

The 12th annual RHS Alumni Association golf outing was held June 24 at Candia Woods.  The winning team with a low gross of 58 was awarded to Don Hsu and Dustin Moreault.   First low net with a 56 was the team of John Porter, Dave Hall, Peter Bouchard, and Ken Stone.   Second low net at 58 was the team of Ray Nye, Bill Karageanis, Dave Taylor and Mike Karageanis.  Third lot net went to the team of Gary Graham, Ryan Johnson, Pat O’Grady, and Mark Dunham.  Low net with a 60 for the All Ladies Team went to Shirley Dodge, Cynthia Ross, Stephanie Prince, and Marilyn Sneiderman.

Special prizes were awarded:   Longest Drive on Hole #10 for Senior Men to Bill Weaver; Longest Drive for Men under 75 to Dustin Moreault.  Longest Drive for Senior Ladies to Sandy Weaver.  Longest Drive for Ladies under 75 to Deb Archambault.  Nearest to Pin on hole #5 to Ken Stone;  nearest to Pin on Hole #15 to George Plante;  Putting Contest winner to Sally Paradis.

The event’s Gold Donors were I. C. Reed & Sons of Raymond and an Anonymous Donor.    Silver Donor sponsorships were shared by JCR Utility Construction, Wal-Mart Distribution Center of Raymond,
and Lovering Volvo.  Bronze Donors were IBEW Local #104, Littlewoods Landscaping of Raymond, an Anonymous Donor, and Memorials to Romie Levesque by the Ted Langford family of Raymond Coin-Op Laundry, Inc. and the Jewett family and Jewett Construction, Inc.  Also a Memorial to Romie Levesque, long-time Association committee member by members of the RHS Alumni Association Committee.

Donations or gift certificates were received from area businesses and friends including Ben Franklin Store, Candia Woods, Canobie Lake Park, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Manchester, Flowers by Tammie, Fremont Pizzeria, Gordo’s, Hannaford, Healthy Living Family Practice, PA, JCR Utility Construction, Onway Wood Working,  Pasquale’s Ristorante, Piney Woods Farm, Pizza by George, Raymond Village Kindergarten, Rite Aid, Salon 27, Scissors Edge, Stillwell’s Ice Cream, Studio 64 Salon, Supreme House of Pizza, Sweatshirts, etc., T-Bones/Cactus Jack’s, Tuckaway Tavern, Ultimate Bouquet, Walgreens.   Morning coffee and doughnuts were served during golfers’ registration for the 12th consecutive year, compliments of Dunkin Donuts of Raymond.
Sponsorships were received from George (Skidder) Brown, Class of 1959 and Wayne Niemi, Class of   1970.  Also from the following:  Bailey and Ornell families, as well as memorials to the Ingalls, Quintal, and Waterhouse families.  Memorial sponsorships were received for Deceased Members in Classes of 1950 and 1951, 1965, and 1970.   Also Memorials to Bruce Clark ’64, Scott Griffin ’82, Fred W. Richard ‘89, the Cote Twins, Leo Plante, Irene and Don Smith, Jean and John Fernald, Gordon A. and Helen (Greenwood) Cammett, Sr. and daughters Kathy and Susie.

The big winner of the day was the RHS Alumni Scholarship Fund that realized over $10,000 from the event. The Association is proud to announce that since 2000, $88,000 has been awarded to RHS seniors by the Association through the proceeds of the annual golf outing.  Thanks and appreciation to ALL who contributed to the success of the outing this year!
