Raymond High School Alumni Association Golf Outing Nets Over $10,700

The 16th annual RHS Alumni Association golf outing was held on June 26 at Candia Woods.  The first gross award went to the team of Ryan Johnson, Dan Johnson, Dave Anzalone, and Jake Yaris with 59. The first net prize went to Jay Long, Gary Knowlton, Glenn Gosselin and Frank Crumb with 57. Second net also with a 57 was the team of Barry Bronson, Tim Bronson, Tim Oberlin, and Keith Martin.   Third net also at 57 went to the team of Jason LaRochelle, Matt LaRochelle, Brent Norris and Mike Cyr. (Net placement determined by a match of cards.)

Low net of 57 award for the all ladies team went to Suzanne Smith, Denise Johnson, Susan Chumas, Janice Poltak & Shirley Dodge.

Special prizes were awarded:   Longest Drive on Hole #10 for Senior Men to Grover Eaton and Longest Drive for Men under 75 to Barry Bronson.  Longest Drive on Hole #10 for Senior Ladies to Sally Paradis and Longest Drive for Ladies under 75 to Vicki Parady-Guay.   Nearest to Pin on Hole #8 to Gerry Laurendeau, and Nearest to Pin on Hole #15 to Frank Crumb.    Putting Contest winner was Bill Malette.

The event’s Platinum Donor was I. C. Reed & Sons, Inc. The event’s Gold Donor was John (Jack) Ornell, RHS Class of 1975.

Silver Donors included Seacoast United Sports, Inc., Hi-Volt Electric Line Construction by George Plante and Tim Philbrick, RHS Class of 1984; Walmart Distribution Center of Raymond; Wayne Neimi, Class of 1970; and Littlewoods Landscaping.
Bronze Donor sponsorships were shared by D. F Richard Energy, Inc. and Gemini Valve.

Morning coffee and doughnuts were served during golfers’ registration for the 16th consecutive year, compliments of Dunkin Donuts of Raymond!

Thanks to WJ Stewart Insurance Agency for sponsoring the Hole-in-One contest on Hole #5.  Alas, no one walked away with the $25,000 prize!

Family sponsorships were received from the Bailey Family, Ingalls Family, Mandile Family, Waterhouse Family, Welch Family.

Class sponsorships were received from the Class of 1957, Class of 1966, Girls in Class of 1970.

Memorial sponsorships were received for Deceased Members in Classes of 1965 and 1970, Deceased RHS Alumni from Deerfield, the Quintal Family and the Wallace Family.  Also Joanne (Rock) Welch’62, Frank Langford ’62, Bruce Clark ’64, Debra Smith ’70, Scott Griffin ’82.   Also, the Cote Twins, Leo Plante, Irene and Don Smith, Jean and John Fernald, Ed and Jean Moulton, Hazel J. Bailey, John J. Callaghan.  Also for Gordon and Helen (Greenwood) Cammett, their daughters Kathy and Susie, and grandson Greg Lafond; and a sponsorship giving thanks for the lives of Edward and Charlena Thompson.

The big winner of the day was the RHS Alumni Scholarship Fund that realized over $10,700 from the event and will ensure that four scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each can be awarded in 2019.

The Association is proud to announce that since 2000, $128,000 has been awarded to RHS seniors by the Association through the proceeds of the annual golf outing.  The Association extends its thanks and appreciation to ALL those who contributed to the success of the outing this year in any way—you are all on a winning team!
