American Legion Post 90 Collects Bicycles for Homeless Veterans

American Legion Post 90 supports homeless veterans of New Hampshire in many ways but one of the ongoing projects is the Bicycles For Homeless Veterans project. The post contacts police departments in the area to get lost or stolen bicycles as well as from the community.

The post collects bicycles in good condition as well as those in need of repair. If they need repair they are given to team members who repair them and distribute them to the homeless veterans, many of whom have part time jobs. The bicycles allow them to get to work when the weather allows.

The post adjutant is the coordinator and can be reached at the American Legion Post 90 phone number 603-244-2288. If you have bicycles you can donate please contact the post. The bicycle will be tax deductible.

Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation's compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another.

   ~ Erma Bombeck ~

Never before has man had such a great capacity to control his own environment, to end hunger, poverty and disease, to banish illiteracy and human misery.

We have the power to make the best generation of mankind in the history of the world.
