Candia Community Woman's Club Barnes & Noble Fundraiser -1-20-14

On Wednesday Dec. 18 and Saturday Dec. 21, from 10 am to 10 pm, members from the Candia Community Woman's Club were at Barnes & Noble in Manchester to wrap presents for donations. This year the Candia Community Woman's Club chose to raise the money for the Wounded Warrior Project, who's purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.

"We’ve been doing this for about 7 or 8 years because it is a great way to get our Club's name out there to the community about what we do and also the opportunity that Barnes & Noble gives us is amazing! We provide the man power and choose a charity to support. " said Lisa Cote.

"In the past we have chosen, Emily's Place, Liberty House and Operation Military Kids to name a few. We were very excited to support Wounded Warriors this year and bring in a record donation for us!", said Cote.

They raised and donated $900 to the organization. This is the most they have ever raised while doing this project and they felt they were very successful with their efforts.

The CCWC would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to let them wrap your presents and donated to their fundraiser!!
