Nursing License of Alissa Durgin, RN of Raymond Suspended
Press Release by Joseph A. Foster, Attorney General    6-11-13

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that the New Hampshire Board of Nursing (“Board”) has suspended the license of Registered Nurse Alissa Durgin, age 30, of Raymond, New Hampshire, effective June 7, 2013.

The Board’s action is in response to receipt of information alleging that on May 6, 2013, Ms. Durgin deprived a patient of pain medication by diverting a fentanyl patch from the patient at Colonial Poplin Nursing Facility where Ms. Durgin was working at that time.

On June 7, 2013, the Board issued an Order of Emergency License Suspension and Notice of Hearing. The order suspended Ms. Durgin’s license to practice nursing in New Hampshire immediately. A Board hearing is scheduled for June 20, 2013, for the purpose of determining whether Ms. Durgin’s license will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.

The Board’s Order of Emergency License Suspension and Notice of Hearing can be read HERE . It can also be obtained from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, 21 South Fruit St., Suite 16, Concord, NH 03301, (603) 271-2323.
