Traditional Parade Welcomes 4th of July in Raymond
By Cheryl Killam 7-04-16

Raymond's 4th of July Parade always draws a crowd. The parade participants began gathering at 8:30 AM beside Argo Cycles on Epping Street. Parade coordinator ran around gathering last minute entries assigning them their line up places.

By 9 AM people had planted their chairs claiming their spots on the sidewalks along Epping Street under the few trees that provided shade in 80 degree temperatures.

The American flag flew majestically from the fire department's ladder truck parked in the town office parking lot across from people sitting three rows deep waiting for the parade to begin.

Mrs. Sandi Ellis was the Master of Ceremonies.
